Festival Founder and Director Brian Owens noted the significance of the nominations to the IIFF.

“First and foremost, the Indianapolis International Film Festival would like to congratulate the nominated films on their accomplishments. We feel quite proud to have been a part of these films’ successful journeys,” said Owens. “In addition, the nominations truly show the Festival’s commitment to screening films of the highest quality.”

The IIFF will once again host its annual party celebrating the movie industry’s biggest night, which serves as the Festival’s primary fundraiser. Check the Festival’s website for upcoming details. Owens notes that the event will occur regardless of the status of the writer’s strike.

“The Festival’s focus has been and always will be the honoring of great films. Whether the Awards are aired in the form of a press conference or as a grand event, we want to encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the success of these films,” said Owens.
